Conducting a business is a team work for sure. All different departments that exist within the business are endowed with only responsibility and that is to successfully achieve the set targets to fulfill the goals of the organization. Each department looks to complement each other so that one is strengthened by the other and in the process steer the organization on the path of success. Marketing the products and services greatly improve the strengths of the offerings of the company as they help to generate customer satisfaction and thus the relation between business and customers are strengthened. This is the strategy that is implemented by most of the businesses all around the globe.

The first step in writing a great business plan might be that one should look forward to fit the marketing strategy of the company with that of the prevailing market that consists of the potential and prospective target consumers. Extensive research for this purpose is necessary. The marketing strategies also should be so developed that one should be able to tap the prospects that are most profitable.

Secondly it should be noted that the company’s competitive advantage is based on the fact extent as to what can it do better than their competitors and what is it that can prevent the imitation of their strategies. The operations plan should provide support to the competitive advantage of the company and also should look to fill the loopholes present in other areas of the business. If the competitive advantage of the firm is not complementing other departments of the business then there is no way the business will prosper.

Lastly if the investors are willing to invest in a newly established business they expect greater returns than they would have expected if they had invested in the stock market. This is primarily because the risk these investors undertake is relatively higher as they invest in a start up business. They will normally expect an expansion that moves from one location to another. And if this type of funding is what you require then you must be ready to expand your business as and when required.
